Tatjana Matić

State Secretary at the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications

Tatjana Matić was born on July 2, 1972 in Belgrade, where she completed elementary and high school. She graduated in Serbian Language and Literature from the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade.

As of May, 2014, she holds position of the State Secretary at the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications.

From July, 2012 until April, 2014 she was in charge of coordination with other state institutions and international organizations within the Ministry of Foreign and Internal Trade and Telecommunications, where she supported the Minister in managing human, financial and other resources, holding position of State Secretary. During the above period, Ms. Matic headed the Task Force for monitoring the process of transition from analogue to digital TV signal in Serbia. She was the Chair of the Negotiating Group on Establishment and Freedom of Services, the Negotiating Group on Competition and the Chair of the Negotiating Group on Consumer Protection and Health Protection, as well as Coordination Body for EU Accession Process.

During 2007 – 2012 Ms. Matić held position of the Secretary General at the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy. Apart from assisting the minister in managing human, financial and other resources, she coordinated the work of internal units of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy. In addition, she was member of the Joint Committee for preparation of the Strategic Coherence Framework and member of the Project Implementation Unit of the Action Plan for Implementation of State Administration Reform in the Republic of Serbia from 2009, to 2012. She was appointed Project Administrator for DILS project – Delivery of Improved Local Services. At the same time, she oversaw SPO assistance programs as IPA officer.

From 2005, till 2007, she was Director of the Coordination Body for municipalities Preševo, Bujanovac and Medveđa, where she was in charge of the management and work coordination of the Service.

From 2004, to 2005, Ms. Matić was Chief of Staff to the Head of the Coordination Centre of Serbia and Montenegro and the Republic of Serbia for Kosovo and Metohija, in charge of the work organization and coordination, protocol and international cooperation.

From 2002, – 2004, she was Assistant Chief of Staff to the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia and Coordination Centre of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (SRY) and Republic of Serbia for Kosovo and Metohija.

From December, 2001 to September, 2002, Ms. Matić was Marketing Manager of Belgrade-based William Grants – MPS Group Company.

From February to November, 2001, she was Assistant manager of the Panasonic Serbia Company.

Ms. Matić extended her knowledge in the areas of: risk management and analysis, human minority rights, women leaders program, etc.

She is fluent in English and has basic knowledge of the Russian language.

Married, mother of two.
