Stephan Schulmeister
Independent economic researcher and university lecturer

Mr. Stephan Schulmeister is a lecturer at the University of Vienna, the Vienna University of Economics and Business, and various universities of applied sciences. His research focuses on financial market speculation and its consequences on the real economy, the impact of the interest rate level on economic growth, employment, and national debt, as well as the analysis of the long-term development of the global economy. Stephan has a degree in Law and Business Studies, and from 1972 to 2012, he was employed at the Austrian Institute of Economic Research (WIFO). He completed research stays at the John Hopkins University in Bologna, at New York University, at the Berlin Social Science Center, the University of New Hampshire, and the International Monetary Fund.
